Launched April of 2005, this new site will provide you with information on businesses from around the world that specialize in travel for the disabled. A comprehensive listing of accessible travel specialists: Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Adventure Travel Companies, Accessible Cruise Specialists, Accessible Van & Equipment Rentals, Travel Companions, Home Exchanges, and Access Guides for wheelchair users and other disabled travelers. We have also started a "Travelers Community" where you can access message boards, read and post travel reviews, create your own online photo gallery where you can post vacation photos, create slideshows, and send e-cards to friends and family. The project 'EU.FOR.ME Tourist training for a wider target' aims at filling a gap that Schools, Universities and Training Centres offering programmes on Tourism, have in Italy and in many European countries. There are practically no examples that disabilities issues are taken into consideration in the organisation of tourism training modules. Inclusion of people with disabilities is not only a social issue, but, in case of tourism activities, it is also a substantial economic opportunity for mainstreaming tourism operators. A Panel of young people with disabilities will follow all Project's activities, identifying the needs of a person with disabilities when travelling. Based on the Panel's conclusions and a training needs' analysis, a course of Training for Trainers will be planned. The course will last 200 hours, plus 80 hours of practical activities: the trainees will be divided into 4 groups and will develop 4 Project Works, consisting of experimental training modules. Each Group will be long distance tutored by one European partner. The Project works will be tested directly in the lessons delivered at the Centre of Tourism Studies of Assisi.

Many automatically assume that just because a person has a disability it will inevitably restrict their opportunity to travel around the world. This need not be the case. True, flying with a disability is slightly more complicated than for an able-bodied flier. Nevertheless, the majority of all airlines are now geared towards catering for disabled fliers. Flying with Disability is a site designed to provide impartial information and advice to all disabled people around the world who travel by air. Waarom de Stichting Gehandicaptenreizen? Onze Stichting is opgericht om voor reislustigen met een lichte lichamelijke handicap verre rondreizen te organiseren. Speciaal voor mensen die niet ver kunnen lopen en/of gebruik maken van een hulpmiddel zoals rollator en rolstoel. Samen met betrouwbare touroperators worden de programma’s zo samengesteld dat de reis, en alle excursies, voor deze doelgroep haalbaar is. Aangepast reizen? Tot op zekere hoogte Toch moet u er rekening mee houden dat u bij een excursie even moet lopen! Bijvoorbeeld in en uit de bus, een museum in of bij een buiten excursie. Bij twijfel kunt u het beste een rolstoel die u zelf kunt voortbewegen of een rollator meenemen. U wordt wel geholpen bij in-, en uitstappen, stijle straten en hoge stoepen enz., maar u wordt niet constant geduwd! Er is dus geen 1 op 1 begeleiding! Wanneer U rolstoelafhankelijk bent, U zichzelf kunt verplaatsen in uw eigen rolstoel ( niet electrisch), ADL zelfstandig en U uit de ‘voeten’ kunt in een normale hotelkamer zijn onze reizen ook geschikt.

Vom 24. – 30. 09. 2007 führt "Gemeinsam reisen mit Behinderten - Initiativgruppe Ulm e. V." eine Herbstreise an den Rand des Teutoburger Waldes nach Bad Laer durch. Die Unterkunft, das Hotel Mönter-Meyer, ist vollkommen auf Rollis eingestellt. Am bewaldeten Südwesthang des Blombergs, einem Ausläufer des Teutoburger Waldes, liegt der historische Kurort Bad Laer im Osnabrücker Land. Ausflüge gehen in die Friedenstadt Osnabrück, Münster mit seinem historischen Stadtbild in den Teutoburger Wald und ins kulturelle und wirtschaftliche Oberzentrum nach Bielefeld. Noch sind Plätze frei - Zusteigemöglichkeiten in Friedrichshafen, Ravensburg, Ulm etc.
